The United States of Transport in the United States (DOT) has approved the United Airlines plan to operate the Fifth Freedom flights to Bangkok, Thailand, and the city of Hoshi Minah, Vietnam, with a stop in Hong Kong. Fifth Freedom Rights allow the airline to transfer the payment of passengers or goods between two foreign countries, as long as the flight arises or ends in the country of the airline.
