Turkish Airlines began its operations between Istanbul and Ohraid yesterday, March 27, representing the resumption of flights between the two cities for the first time in six years. The service, which is supported by the Macedonian government, will be maintained four times a week, with 56 % of flights during the summer currently scheduled for the Boeing 737-800, 16 % on B737 Max 8, 14 % on Airbus A321, in addition to nine flights with 737-900 and eight on the A320. The welcoming ceremony was attended by Macedonian Prime Minister Hrishtjan Mikuski, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Transport and Communications Alexander Nicholovski, CEO of the operator Taf, Junior Airport, Al-Asr, Al-Hamououni, Kiril Pecakov, and a representative of tourist and hotel organizers from the OHRID-Strugo.
