The incident began in January 2024. Teen Joshua Lowe sent an e -Mel to the Carnival Cruise Line via a “bomb” on the Sunrise Carnival. He wrote, “Hey, I think someone might have a bomb on your sunrise cruise ship.”
The ship departed from Miami, and eventually moved to Jamaica. In a few minutes of the threat, the crew searched for over 1,173 staterooms, along with the dining room, engine, and other potential areas where the bomb could be placed.
In the end, the threat was proven to be a trick, and the people behind him did so on a dispute with his girlfriend’s family.
Jason of Travel Scouts On YouTube explained, “He made a bomb threat as he was left to take care of their pet as they cruise. The bomb threat began an emergency action by the coast guard and the carnival crew rushed to make a full search for a ship.”
Joshua Lowe has now been punished for the incident. He faces eight months in prison after pleading guilty to false accusations and false information.

All parties have remained calm throughout the legal process. The Carnival Cruise Line has not issued any other type of statement, may want to keep this from the headline for its passengers. Lowe’s lawyer did not comment on the sentence.
Lowe himself issued a letter to the judge before the sentence, according to Miami Herald. In the letter, Lowe apologized for his actions.
“I sent my sincere apology to all I put everyone in this case, through all the search, money and time spent on this case,” the letter said. “This is all my fault and is fully responsible for this case, it should not have happened.”
The 19 -year -old must have a lot of regret over the incident.
