Universal Pictures’ long-awaited epic cosmic theme park is finally open in Orlando – but an unusual rule is already attracting attention: Guests who choose monster-style makeovers are not allowed to drink alcohol Alcohol Anywhere on the property.
One of the dark universes of the park theme is legendary monsters dedicated to studios such as Dracula, Wolfman and the Invisible Man.
As part of the immersive experience, guests can make a well-crafted face makeover in the Darkmoor Monster Makeup Experience to fully embrace their terrifying selves.
However, according to Universal Pictures’ website, once your face is fully painted, you are banned from buying or eating alcohol – not only in the park, but also in the Citywalk of Universal City.
This restriction even applies a day after you leave the park, which means you won’t stop and drink without removing your makeup first, SFGATE Report.
reason? With full face paint covering the entire face, you may no longer resemble your ID, which creates potential problems for verifying the age of alcohol service venues.
Additionally, the Epic Universe relies on facial recognition technology to enter the park, so guests may have to rescan their image after the transformation.
The makeover costs $45, and the luxury version comes with matching accessories for $169. However, this extra talent may come at the expense of your end of the day drink.
