After a birthday trip Canary Islands Ann-Marie Murray stayed with her partner for four nights, flying from Tenerife to Ryanair in Bristol, England, when she was doing her most mundane on-flight activity: She ordered a can of water from a pring can, coke and a bottle of snack carts for a total of $7.27 (about $9.27).
The 55-year-old mom from Gloucester, England knocked her card to the payment reader, but that didn’t work. The crew brought another machine, but it was still useless. The couple had no cash, so Murray made an offer to get some cash from ATM as soon as possible after landing. But the staff said she couldn’t do it, Tell Mirror UK Travel on March 28.
Her partner asked the Ryanair crew if they wanted pringles, but they said no, so she started eating them.
However, the airline has a different view because they issued a statement saying: “When staff members want to resolve payment issues, the passenger continues to ignore the crew’s instructions, consume the items before payment, and then becomes disruptive.”
As she told the British newspaper, Murray was shocked to find one side of the story: “I’m not destructive. No raised sound.”
But Dublin-based airlines doubled down to remind authorities. Avon and Somerset Police reported that they received “reports of subversive passengers on inbound flights to Bristol Airport”. As a result, they encountered a flight and escorted her to a van. “The officers briefly attended the meeting, but soon established anything related to the civil dispute, and no action was taken.”
Murray was greeted by the authorities on the ground in shock. She told Mirror. “I was shocked when the police boarded the boat and we were asked to leave. It was so embarrassing. I tried my best to fix it.”
It seems The nervousness may be due to the Murray shooting incident. As a crew member on the boat, please do not take pictures. The footage footage taken by Murray has been shared online, with the authorities she encountered looked very folk and friendly, even asking about her travels. Some even said that he was photographed well.
“After payment, the crew told me that we were banned from flying with Ryanair.” Mirror. “But after what happened, I will never fly with them again.”
