The ‘Neon To Nature’ route must be done on your next Vegas trip

It’s easy to see why Vegas, with all the lights and its vice, is Nevada’s number one tourist destination. But only a short trip from the city can bring visitors to the amazing landscape, deep history, and the adventure you can only experience by stepping out of the Las Vegas strip.

Neon to nature The path is intended to do so. This route can be done as a day trip, overnight, or combined together in a larger travel schedule based on your interests.

Trace of fire and water

The first stop on the fire and water route is where this trail draws its name from, the Valley of Fire State Park. Located just 45 minutes outside Las Vegas, this is the first and largest state park in Nevada covering nearly 46,000 acres.

The Fire Valley has an amazing red sandstone formation that begins when dinosaurs explore the earth. The park has a rise in all lengths and difficulty levels that put visitors hit Dab in the middle of the prehistoric world. Personal favorite is the White Dome Trail, which weaves between different formations. If you are not timely there is also a beautiful road through a park with several areas overlooking and attractive to take views including the famous mouse tank on Insta.

The second great attraction in the trail is the National Monument of Gold Butte. The conservation area covers nearly 300,000 acres featuring prehistoric petroglif and desert wildlife such as large horns and endangered deserts. One of the most popular camping and hiking trails in the area was Whitney’s pocket featuring the primitive habitat and prehistoric hole next to the ancient petroglif.

There is also a Little Finland -or the Hobgoblin playground -named in conjunction with a small fins attached to the formation of stone, and not the country. The construction of this unique sandstone is also home to more petroglif.

Moapa Valley, located 13 miles outside the fire valley, is a great pitstop whether you’re looking for lunch or a place for an accident for the night. Inside scoop is a piece of americana that serves classic like burgers and blt with amazing ice cream counters. In the city, you will also find the missing city museum located on the site of the ancient clan of Puebloans, the museum showcases the daily lives of Nevada’s first population starting from 300 BC

Colorado River Corridor

The Colorado River Corridor Trail is centered around water access, making it a good choice for the summer months. First, stop on this route is the famous Hoover Dam. Millions of visitors every year take a visit to the Hoover Dam to see the amazing engineering. In addition to visits and photos, this area is a great launch point for access to Lake Mead and climbing. The historic train tunnel is a great trace that takes you through the train tunnel left with a spectacular view of Lake Mead on the other side.

The nearby Boulder city is a great stop. Known as a city that built the Hoover Dam as this is where all workers live. Historical enthusiasts will like the boulder dam hotel that is a doubles museum on the Hoover Dam and also includes a local artist’s art gallery. Guests are also given the option of their own audio visit on Boulder City’s history.

Boulder City is also a great place to bring down. Dillinger is located in an old Nevada bank building and is evaluated one of the best burgers in Vegas, despite 30 minutes in the countryside. There are also some options with small city charms such as cold coffee cup cafe or jilly’z.

Next, spend the evening in the city of Ghost Nelson. What is once the oldest and richest mining city in the south of Nevada is now the background of many movies, TV shows, and video games. Visitors can walk through a ghost city that is eligible for photos and take a mine visit. The mine is 70 degrees throughout the year so it’s another great choice to beat the heat during the summer.

If you are interested in going a little further towards Laughlin. This town is located on the Colorado River provides everything you need to have fun on the water. From the beautiful Walk River to a boat tour to swim in the large curves in the Colorado State Recreation area, you will find in Laughlin.

Red Rockin ‘Loop

If you are not timely, the Red Rockin ‘loop (that’s actually not a loop!) Maybe a road trip for you. The route covers all beautiful landscapes, historic ghost towns, and other pathways, taking you no more than 45 minutes from Las Vegas. Choose one or more of these sights to explore and return to time for your dinner booking.

The first up is the Red Rock Canyon. These popular tourist destinations have signed Southern Nevada features including bright red canyons, sandstone cliffs, and Petroglif but on a larger scale covering more than 195,000 acres. If you are not timely, you can enjoy the beautiful 13 miles that touch the hotspots.

If you are interested in spending the day there are several ways to explore the country’s conservation area. The rise of all lengths and levels are available such as Lost Canyon Children’s Discovery Trail less than one mile but full of sites like waterfalls, Petroglif, natural tunnels, and opportunities to see wildlife. More experienced pedestrians who are not afraid of exposed curves and once -stone struggles -will enjoy the great results seen from the Turtlehead Peak Trail offer. The Red Rock Canyon is also very popular for climbing rocks with more than 1,200 routes.

Next to the Red Rock Canyon is the Spring Mountain Ranch that has been part of the Nevada history for the generation. Originally a popular stop for pioneers leading to the West has evolved into luxury retreats for the Hollywood elite such as Vera Krupp and Howard Hughes. Today visitors can spy on the past with their life history program to learn about pioneer life. Other activities are scheduled every month such as sunrise, yoga classes, star staring, and their summer theater program.

On the way to the final destination, you can stop at Seven Magic Mountains. Famous art installation on this Instagram, by artist Ugo Rondinone in collaboration with the Nevada Museum of Art, is located in the middle of the desert and includes seven totems made of different arranged stones.

Finally, for Wild West Head pieces to Good Springs Ghost Town. Considered one of the most successful mining cities in the south of Nevada, the city is filled with stories that attract fans of history and fanatics. Pioneer Saloon, Nevada’s oldest bar since 1913 is still in operation today. Visitors can see the residues of Clark Gable cigarettes burning on the bar or learning about ghosts that haunt the saloon. The bar covers a haunted reputation with a ghost burger, which is displayed on the food chain. Visitors can also learn more about the history and stories of Good Springs ghosts on a walking visit covering the old public, elementary school, and Campbell Stone Cabin.
