The destination is called the “land of eternal youth”, and 1/10 residents live in 100 – they all eat one thing

Acciaroli, an idyllic seaside village in the south Italyit looks like a dreamy place to live.

With its beautiful stone houses, close to the beach and picturesque harbour, it has enough appeal.

However, another reason you might want to consider moving to Acciaroli.

Known as the “land of eternal youth”, one in ten of the residents in small villages live in 100, an impressive statistics that fascinates scientists.

The outstanding lifespan of the villagers once made them the focus of the six-month research program of the University of Sapinza in Rome and the School of Medicine in Santiago.

Scientists have found that the blood circulation of healthy elderly people in the village is incredible and matched with young people.

Blood samples from villagers show that residents have extremely low adrenaline levels, a hormone that causes vascular stenosis and causes health problems when the levels are too high.

“The elderly usually produce more and more hormone adrenaline, the adrenaline, to keep flowing in. The system initiates the levels of hormones to compensate for the lower-effect cycle, a bit like squeezing blood from a carrot,” said Alan Maisel, a professor of medicine at the San Diego School of Medicine.

And why Acciaroli’s low adrenalin levels are low?

Rosemary, a commonly used herb, is used to add flavor to meals.

Dr. Meissel said: “Everyone eats rosemary. They all grow up, they use it as a garnish and then use it in the oil. They eat a lot and it is full of compounds that may help with the microcirculation.

Scientific research also shows that rosemary “helps the brain function” increases Dr. Maisal.

It is usually found that centenarians in the village are enjoying a healthy life.

Residents of Acciaroli tend not to suffer from age-related health problems such as cataracts and Alzheimer’s.

“We found that there were almost no cataracts, which was amazing, without osteoporosis and Alzheimer’s – good microcirculation could cause all of this,” explains Dr. Maisal.

Even though the study found that many villagers were overweight and smokers, they tended to do a lot of physical exercise, such as gardening and walking.

The villagers’ Mediterranean diet and the remote location of Acciaroli away from the highway may also help promote low stress levels.

Residents tend to eat a lot of fresh fish, fruits and vegetables in their own gardens.

This is not the only destination for residents to enjoy longevity. Researcher Dan Buettner Several “blue areas” were found People are more likely to live in 100 places.

Buettner found that among five destinations, people tend to improve their health by choosing a diet.
