The Air traffic control Association (ATCA), along with 45 other members of the Aviation Alliance, signed a letter to American Senate members calling for improving safety and operational efficiency standards within the national airspace (NAS).

The letter also calls for an exemption from the Federal Aviation Administration from government closure to ensure financing and continuous operations.
