The world’s best airport was crowned as the new rankings, and the UK failed to gain a place in the top 20.

Singapore Changi Airport topped the 13th “record-breaking” list at the 2025 Skytrax World Airport Awards.

The award is the world’s largest customer airport satisfaction survey and evaluates customer service and facilities at 565 airports.

Changi Airport offers travelers a number of attractions, including a butterfly garden, a rooftop pool and a hedge maze.

Perhaps the airport’s most famous feature, Changi’s Rain Whirlpool is the world’s tallest indoor waterfall, cascading from a height of 40m/131 feet.

Visitors can also tackle airport-hanging trampolines, stroll through its canopy park or try a rock climbing wall.

Changi also won awards for the best airport dining in the world and the best airport toilet in the world.

In the second year, UK airports have not yet entered the top 20.

In last year’s ranking, Heathrow ranked 21st with Gatwick, 48th.

The airport also won awards for the best airport shopping in the world and the best airport in the Middle East.

Tokyo Haneda Airport ranked in the top three and won awards for the cleanest airport in the world and the best domestic airport in the world.

Paris Charles de Gaulle is the highest scorer in Europe, and Rome Fiumicino scored the next best score on the African continent.

Skytrax CEO Edward Plaisted said: “For Singapore Changi Airport, the highest award is the world’s best airport in 2025, a huge achievement, the 13th record-breaking time at the awards ceremony, and they have already won the award.

“Chandi Airport’s diversity and vast dining venues have been recognized, winning the world’s best airport dining award.

“Washing rooms are the main driver of customer satisfaction during the airport experience and we congratulate Singapore Changi Airport for winning the first-ever best airport toilet award in the world. ”
