Review of Hotel T+L’S Westin Bora Bora Resort & Spa

Westin Bora Bora Resort & Spa

  • Most resort bungalows are water on the water, providing adequate privacy, direct access to the famous Bora Bora lagoon, and, in some cases, individual pools.
  • There are three bars and three restaurants to choose from, one of which has a rotating taste menu.
  • Beautiful private beaches, with views of Mount Otemanu, offer sea -activities for guests of all ages.
  • Guests can learn about the conservation of sea turtles in France Polynesia at an eco -centered center through guided tours and educational seminars.
  • Well-being activities are overlooked either at a spa on a site for massage or solo exercise at a fitness center.

As I sat in my pool on a clear Sunday afternoon, I took some time to hear the sound of soft waves that soothed past my bungalow overwater. Below, bright blue fish school swimming, while in front of me stands the otemanu mountain -the extinct fiery and the highest point Bora Bora Islandlooks like a setting out of Jurassic Park. At that time, when the sun began to set, making the sky pink yellow, it touched me how special Bora Bora was.

This is one of the many beautiful seconds of reflection -and the load of the senses -I have experienced during my stay at Westin Bora Bora Resort & SpaThe latest resort to open on French Polynesian Island since 2017. The hotel has just been named Travel + free timeList 2025 it. My mom and I arrived here after almost 24 hours from the east coast. But three flights and a short boat ride from the airport later, we pulled out to the warm welcome dock as the rainy season began to slow down, and the clouds slowly drifted away, launching a high-end Otemanu mountain.

Westin Bora Bora Resort & Spa’s decency

The resort building is incorrect -the new right; Le Méridien Bora Bora was used to sit on this plot, but following a wide modification and branding, on September 2024, Westin Bora Bora Resort & Spa offered a completely new experience. There are 142 bungalows, each with their own personal terrace with direct access to either the lagoon or the crystal-blue waters of the ocean. All 128 bungalows on the water are connected to a long and winding walk. Guests can ride along the route on the blue and pink hotel bike for day and night; The policy is ‘leaving a bike, taking a bike,’ which adds a relaxing vibration of the resort.

However, the quality of service remains. After two days, the staff at Tipanier, one of the three restaurants and breakfast, brought my coffee order and my mother as soon as we sat down. Snorkeling gear was left outside our bungalow door following the outside comments I made to a waitress about seeing the fish from our pool. At the spa, the masseur adds a soothing local serum to help heal my sun. And, on our last night, in Maere, resort signature restaurant, chef cooking a raw seafood course for my mother, who didn’t eat raw fish.

Below, my full review of Westin Bora Bora Resort & Spa.

Room

The resort is home to a collection of water bungalows in Bora Bora, all of which combines modern comfort and natural taste that is well -integrated with outdoors. Each varies, depending on its location along the way, and some have a private pool on the terrace. Closer to the property hub, 14 family -friendly beach bungalows ignore the personal lagoon.

For our stay, we are located at Premium Otemanu Overwater Bungalow, which, as its name, has some of the best views of Bora Bora’s famous mountain. There is a glass panel looking on the floor, a large terrace with a dining table, a private pool, and a step stairs leading to the water. Exterior Bluetooth speakers are a great touch too, perfect for my night swimming during sunset. In the bedroom, signature Westin’s heavenly bed is stand out. My mom liked it so much that she immediately ordered a pillow for our house as soon as we flew home.

Food and drink

There are three bars and three restaurants to choose from, they all have different menus. The most frequently we visit is Tipanier, named after the French Polynesia fragrance bloom. The French -inspired restaurant along the lagoon serves breakfast buffet and seasonal meal dinners. In Varavara, the SaltTahitian dishes prepared with raw tuna, coconut milk, and lime juice -were fresh and delicious so I ordered it three times as I stayed.

On our last night, we ate at Maere, the hotel’s signature restaurant, which offers a spinning menu using only local -based materials. Wine pairs are also provided. Here, highlights include homemade dried swordfish with fresh coconut milk and grilled tuna steak with sweet potatoes.

A more relaxed choice -with excellent drinking performances -including Te Ava’s pool restaurant, ‘O’a on the second floor of the resort, and Honu Tiki. The last is a beach -side bar that serves a happy day every day will gather from their pool lounge chair to Beach Beach chairs for mud.

We lived at the resort during the rainy season, before the holidays, and the restaurant alternated their operating hours. Therefore, we ended up eating with the same guests and servicing by the same staff members, who contributed to a comfortable atmosphere at the resort.

Activity and experience

There are many activities and experiences in place, and as a result, guests can get to know each other quickly. Westin Bora Bora Resort & Spa has the largest pool in Bora Bora, complete with a swim bar, water chairs, and adjacent cabanas that can be found on the first, first serving. Along the private beach, you will find paddle boards, kayaks, or hydrofoil bikes available throughout the day. There are also daily group activities such as coconut weaving classes, shell crafts, or crown crowns sessions.

Guests can produce kayaks or other water sports activities.

If you want to leave the hotel and dive deeper into the tahitian culture, the resort team can arrange outdoor visits such as diving, snorkeling, or jeep tours on the island. My mom and I took part in a lagoon cruise with sharks and stingray activities. We spend the rest of the day with local guides, swimming with wildlife, taking sights, and enjoying lunch on oil island, A small island, in the lagoon.

Spa

Westin’s Heavenly spa is a quiet space behind the resort, just a short walk or a quick bike ride. Spa treatment is caused by the tradition of polynesian health and holistic therapy, inspired by Asia. I have booked traditional tissue massage; However, I appeared with a dramatic sunburn. Elimination of cooks using his expertise to make sure I still have a very relaxing and useful experience.

There are also complete fitness centers and various exercise classes, such as Yoga Sunrise, Pilates, or Tahitian dances.

A family -friendly performance

Although Bora Bora has a reputation as Honeymoon paradiseThere are many family -friendly activities here as well. The Eco Bora Bora Center, originally established in 2000, provides a good opportunity to engage young tourists in educational experiences. The center in place is where locals and visitors can turn on the injured sea turtles in the wild. The hotel offers tours and guided seminars, and allows guests to see the daily release of turtles saved into the lagoon. As I stayed, two sea turtles were being taken care of at the ECO center.

Accessibility and sustainability

Westin Bora Bora Resort & Spa has a compliant feature. There is a ramp and wheelchair access in the main public space. Four bungalows accommodate guests with disabilities: two bungalows on the water with lagoon views and two beach bungalows equipped with a pool.

Location

Many resorts in Bora Bora are not located on the main island but at the Atoll around it, and Westin Bora Bora Resort & Spa are no exception. One of the hotel speed boats will pick you up from the airport, and the trip to the resort is less than 15 minutes. When it comes to arrival, the settings are truly amazing and quiet, with the view of the Otemanu mountain that is not prevented as the main sale point. There is a personal lagoon that flows through the entire property, adding beautiful settings.
