This year offers the best value holiday destinations for the British – the cheapest is that the beer costs only £2, while the flights to get there are only £36.
The Post Office Vacation Currency Report surveyed 47 destinations around the world and looked at the prices of eight items that are typically purchased during the holidays, such as coffee, beer, sunscreen and meals, to predict the best value festival.
For the ninth year in a row, Algarve retained the best currency resort, mainly due to its low-cost meals and drinks.
Visitors to the popular South Coast in Portugal can expect that both the two-course meals can be paid £40.33 for both courses.
In the Algarve, coffee averages just over £1, beer is £2.12, and a glass of wine costs just £2.80.
from London Faro, the nearest airport to Algarve, is currently priced at as high as £36 for June, making it an affordable family vacation.
“It’s interesting to see Algarve again return to the top of the barometer chart, which is largely dependent on the significant consistency of its low-priced meals and beverage prices,” said Laura Plunkett, a post office travel currency expert.

“Algarve has been in the top 10 with best value since 2010, but it is still struggling to match the cheapest long-distance destinations in recent years.
“The prices are now rising to the closest competitors, but are still very low in Portugal.”
Other budget-friendly European destinations in the top ten include Prague, Costa del Sol in Spain and Sunny Beach in Bulgaria.
Travelers can expect to spend around £75.92 on vacation in Prague, £76.51 on Costa del Sol in Spain, and £71.46 if you live in the sunny beach along Black Sea Coast in Bulgaria.
In Costa del Sol, Spain and the sunny beaches of Bulgaria, visitors can enjoy less than £2 for coffee and wine prices for less than £3, with an average price of only £2.50.
While visitors may pay more in Prague, while the average coffee price is £2.13, three-course meals enjoy two glasses of wine and two pieces at £55.69, the flights are as cheap as ever.

This summer, the return flight from the UK to Prague will cost just £27.
The second best destination is revealed as Cape Town, South Africa, where beer or glass of wine costs £2.07 and coffee costs just £1.44.
But it’s a little further away, and it’s more expensive for the British to get there, starting at £297 from London and a return of £394.
The last destination for the top three is Tokyo, Japan.
Visitors to the land of rising sun can take a vacation there, with coffee priced at £2.44 and three-course meals for just £44.58.

Portugal’s Algarve is the cheapest place to break the budget, Spain’s Costa del Sol is behind No. 10
But again, the flight will cost tourists who wish to visit Japan in 2025. The direct flight from London to Tokyo costs £270, while the return rate is £400.
However, among the American favorites of British tourists, it will be the most expensive holiday attractions of the year.
New York receives more than 1 million British tourists a year, making it the most expensive city in the report, with an estimated price of £167.85
Last year, the destination’s expected tourist spending costs rose by 15.6%, with three-course dinners, two bottles of wine and a bottle of wine at a price of up to £128.27.
A New York cup of coffee will also make tourists an average selling price of £3.77, a bottle of beer £7.07 and a glass of wine shockingly £11.08.
