
Mattarat Holding and Sita have made the official character to a partnership through a Memorandum of Understanding (MOM) aimed at enhancing the digital transformation of airports in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
This cooperation has been appointed to implement advanced technologies that improve passenger experiences, improve operations, increase airport efficiency, and comply with aviation modernization initiatives.
The partnership is in line with the ambition of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to appear as a global aviation center, with the ability to absorb 330 million passengers annually and communicate with more than 250 destinations worldwide.
“We are proud to work alongside MatArat Holding to bring the appropriate digital tools that keep the operations smoothly and the passengers are moving effortlessly,” said Seta Middle East and Africa, Selem Puri.
SITA has already created biological service systems at the International CALID Airport at RIYADH and the Biometric Saudi opening flight at the NEOM Bay Airport using its smart solution.
The company’s systems also operate at the main airports in Jeddah, Dammam and RIYADH, as well as 22 regional airports in Group 2.
The biometric journey provides a safe experience using techniques that capture and verify individuals through unique biological identifiers, such as facial recognition and fingerprints, which facilitates effective access in digital and material checkpoints.
MATARAT is responsible for managing 27 airports through its subsidiaries, including Riyadh Airport, Jeddah Airport, DAMMAM and Cluster 2 airports.
The goal of the organization is to enhance the performance of the country’s airports according to the Saudi Aviation Strategy, an integral part of the national transport, logistics and vision 2030.
“The Memorandum of Understanding with SITA confirms our steadfast commitment to take advantage of advanced digital solutions that enhance operational efficiency and raise the travel experience across all our airports,” said Mattarat Digital and Technology Yaagoub Alnujaidi said.
Recently, Seta Partnership with NECBiometric authentication, to enhance international digital identity solutions in the travel industry.
NEC will integrate its technology into the ecosystem of the SITA digital travel, allowing the actual time to check the digital identity through multiple systems.
