- 15 resort food and beverage places include Bombay Club by Chef Manav Tuli, whose resumes include Chaat starring Michelin in Hong Kong.
- Design details are smart and feature a lot of local creative cooperation, including ceramics by Lebanon artist Nadine Kanso and a collection of silk goods by EMIRATI designer Alreem Al Mansoori.
- Jumeirah Marsa Al Arab is family -friendly, but not family -centered; Only adult space includes attractive round ponds surrounded by cabanas and orange umbrellas.
Centuries ago, far before the creation of the United Arab Emirates -Before the fossil fuel industry, international tourists, and high -up skyscrapers Artificial islands-Dubai is a quiet maritime area that most worlds do not know. People in the rare settlements in the region of pearl pigeons and fishing for seabreaks and sea breams, and visited by traders or pirates once -the. Even after the city Dubai Officially established in the early 19th century, it was more than a fishing village with narrow lanes and brick-brick buildings in the small salted water river.
Today, the city looks a bit different. During this new stay in the new Jumeirah Marsa Al ArabOpened on March 2025, I was amazed at how much Dubai had changed since I was there when I lived in Abu Dhabi a decade ago. And I thought of Dubai from the past while turning “Emirates sailor,” I pulled from a pile of coffee table books in my suite. The collection of boating and fishing shows a glimpse of life on the water in the mid-20th century, just before the UAE began exporting oil and gaining independence. The resort will not exist in Dubai the pictures, but clearly someone wants me to see where the global metropolis comes from, buying an outside title from 2003 for future guests to finally take it.

At the latest hotel Jumeirah Group, the origin of the Dubai maritime gives narrative and aesthetics through a clear line if you know to find it. The long and narrow Shaun Killa architect shows a point towards the bay, designed to evoke a smooth superyacht with its windows and smooth white exterior. Opening limited from trio of nautical structure on the right coast Jumeirah Burj Al Arabinspired by a full -time dhow cruise, and sinking Jumeirah Beach HotelThe first Jumeirah hotel, the silhouette was like a broken wave.
You can also feel the water rhythm of the undulations from the custom blue walls in the entry hall, the river crystal chandeliers flowing through the lobby, and a fine ceramic statue hanging on the wall in my suite, remembering the coral branches. This touching design, yet fine, helped to make the relationship between the 19th-century fishermen and the city glitter around me.
One evening, I turned on the page “Seafarers of the Emirates” to a picture of a small wooden boat. It immediately raised a very dark scenery from my time in the old UAE-day spent shopping at the Gold Souk in Deira, on the northern cliff of Dubai Creek, before taking the One-Dirham one-side trip to the other side. I asked if the front desk could arrange the driver to take me back there. Painted dhows and zigzagging flat boats along the water are as I remember. Some of them will immediately go to the sea; Back to Jumeirah Marsa Al Arab that evening, I saw from my terrace when sunset faded over the water and thought of all the boats that had crossed the horizon in front of them.

Room
Nautical themes extend to 300 rooms of resort and 86 suites, which tend to cream and yellow with blue and orange accents, along with rich skin, lacquered wood, and marble. No matter where you live, you will have a private terrace and interesting view through the window from the floor to the ceiling; Some accommodation appears directly at sea, while others have views of marina, beach and neighboring Burj Al Arab, or a silhouette dominated by skyscrapers in Dubai city center. My Ocean Terrace Suite is located at the end of the building, and from my big wraparound terrace, I can see all of the above.
Rooms and suites in each category have a king bed (or the option of two twins, coupled with attractive sofa beds), wardrobe, nespresso coffee machine, and complete minibar, as well as amenities such as Dyson’s hair dryer and Bang & Olyfsen speakers. An additional 82 apartment -style homes are available for long -term accommodation (there is a minimum week).
Food and drink
There are 11 amazing restaurants and four bars -dining options that make Jumeirah Marsa Al Arab stop very popular for locals as well. During my visit, the night brought an attractive luxury car flow to Porte-Cochère for bookings.
I don’t have time (or room in my stomach) to eat at every restaurant during my three -night stay, but among those I tried was Bombay Club by Chef Manav deafworking with Chef Kumaran Balaji on the menu inspired by Mumbai cuisine. Unforgettable dishes include tandoori wagyu beef cheek, beautiful biryani lamb, and fried wild mushrooms Jalfrezi That I am happy to find unobtrusive in the spice.
I also enjoy lunch at IlianaA Greek restaurant in a windy interior where vegetables are just as tasty as fresh seafood, and unforgettable nights in Rialto barSmall, slightly hidden places, decorated with colored marble.
