The recently launched Skyway Airlines has rated Hong Kong Air Cargo Terminals Limited (HACTL) as its processing agent for new shipping services for Hong Kong, with a strategic focus on e -commerce.
HACTL will provide a full range of services to the airline, including peripheral and slope processing, as well as document support, under Stop-STOP.
Skyway Airlines runs six weekly flights using Boeing 737-400-337-400-three to its center at Clark International Airport and three to Manila. Hong Kong coincides with the first international destination for the airline.
The Philippines includes more than 7,000 islands, which offer unique logistical obstacles. While the aircraft was traditionally transported in the belly of the passenger aircraft, the prosperous e-commerce market-which was accelerated by the Covid-19–payment of the demand for the services of the custom shipping ship. Skyway Airlines responds to this need, as the Philippines connects the most crowded international air freight center in the world.
“It was a big jump for Skyway to avoid internationally to Hong Kong after obtaining our air operator certificate. We are very pleased to obtain one HACTL service support for our charge to Hong Kong International Airport, which has greatly reduced our challenges in launching the service,” said Jose Angelo Berralta, President and CEO of Skyway Airlines.
“We hope to contribute to commercial development between Hong Kong and the Philippines.”
“Skyway Airlines is an interesting new project that fills a very real need for the Philippines. We welcome this last addition to our carrier family, which increases our global communications,” said Joanna Lee, CEO of HACTL for Business Development and Commercial Development.
“We wish Skyway Airlines every success with this first international service, and we are strongly looking to support the airline in developing its business.”
