Grand Canyon National Park has some of the best routes in the United States. Take a nankoweal trail. It is one for daredevils, considered as most scary and most dangerous in the whole country.
The Grand Canyon remains one of the most popular parks. However, anxiety began to pile. Lines at the South Entrance Station begin to exceed 90 minutes Over the weekend, the closure of other traces caused visitors to reconsider the plan.
In the following, we will take a closer look at the announcement of this new Grand Canyon delay. The traces in question have been set to reopen in May. Unfortunately, that will not happen with the delay in construction. At least for now, the trail is expected to reopen in the fall.
This is the most up-to-date, along with another major trail opening for mid-May.

The re -opened river in May will remain closed until October 1
This new announcement at the Grand Canyon National Park on Instagram is not the most popular, especially among visitors. The River Trail was reopened in May, causing a lot of joy among garden fans. However, the National Park Service has just announced the delay in extension until October 1.
The National Park Service is writing“The River Trail, between the River Resthouse and the South Kaibab Trail Junction, Silver Bridge and the Plateau Point Trail, between the Tonto Trail West Junction to Plateau Point, which was originally scheduled to reopen in May, will continue to close until October 1. Install new water pipes and channels.
On a positive note, the Waterline project in Bright Angel’s campsite runs well, and will be reopened on May 15.
“Waterline’s work is running on Bright Angel’s camps and between Havasupi Gardens and Tonto Trail to the West, and areas will be reopened on May 15. Although Phantom Ranch Canteen and Lodge are closed, workers install new distribution, power and communications, Hydranes and water filling stations,” The Park Service Writes.
Visitors aimed at using the River Trail have alternative route options. However, it seems that the NPS has issued advice to the south to the North Kaibab Trail.
Rim-to-rim pedestrians are warned by alternative route
Due to the availability of fields and water, pedestrians are advised to carry extra water to prevent heat disease while using the southern passage to the north of Kaibab.
“Rim-to-rim pedestrians can use southern passage to the north of the trail kaibab, but due to the availability of fields and water, pedestrians are highly advised to bring extra water to prevent heat-related diseases.
The National Park Service states that efforts to help pedestrians may be delayed due to limited staff, paired with the number of rescue calls.
