The big battle of Miami -based Megaships has begun.
The largest MSc Cruises ship ever built – MSc World America – Officially announced at the port of Miami late Wednesday, kicking the epic competition among the three largest sailing ships in the world.
The port of Miami is already home Royal Caribbean‘S-Ballyhooed, 2 years Sea iconThe largest cruise ship in the world and, to date, the Queen’s bee has not been disputed from the Megacruising universe.
In addition, the port is the basis for Carnival Cruise LineThe largest ship ever, a 2 -year -old carnival celebration.
The three vessels will be head-to-head for the market for Megaships from Miami starting this weekend, as all three depart a week’s cruise to the Caribbean.
“It’s just an important event on our journey … making MSC Cruises the name of the household here,” said Lynn Torrent, President of MSC Cruises USA, during a meeting with a travel author from a party that came out for MSC World America last night.
The event included a nearly two-hour nomination ceremony featuring famous actor Drew Barrymore cutting ribbons to send a bottle of crushing ship, gala dinner, dinner across the florist-based show in Florida Gloria Estefan-
The European -based MSC Cruises, which has been the largest voyage in Europe, South America and South Africa, has expanded its presence in North America in recent years in an effort to become a major player on the voyage around the continent as well. But the arrival of MSC World America can be seen as the sole moment in its efforts to become more famous in the region.
Built specifically for the North American market in a manner with no other MSC Cruises vessels before, the ship is much larger and more places packed from any other MSC Cruises vessels have been deployed to the region. It was the first on the same giant scale as the largest Royal Caribbean ship, which has dominated the Megaship’s sailing market in North America for years.

“It is the first time we have designed a ship with US guests in mind,” Torrent said, pointing to US-designated places on a ship consisting of an American-style sports bar overlooking an American pub.

Large water, giant pool zones and amazing indoor cruise with restaurants and bars that rival anywhere where other vessels are among the features that stand out from the ship.
Like the Icon of the Seas, the MSC World America jumped 20 decks high – higher than almost any other cruise ship. That said, MSC World America is a boy shorter than the ocean icon, producing a smaller overall size when measured by coarse tons – the measurement of the interior space used by the ship maker.
In 216,638 tonnes, MSC World America is the world’s largest eighth cruise ship, behind the Icon of the Seas and six giant ships in Royal Caribbean’s Oasis class series.
The MSC World America passenger capacity of 6,762 passengers is a nearby record for any vessel.
Ocean icons, with comparison, measures 248,663 tonnes and can hold up to 7,600 passengers. Carnival celebrations measure 183,521 tonnes and can accommodate up to 6,619 passengers.
Like the two vessels, the MSC World America has a large family fun zone in its top deck which includes features such as giant water parks with four water streams and rope courses.

MSc World America also has six swimming pools and 14 hot tubs, including a long main pool located in the middle -what will be one of the largest pool areas in the sea.
MSc World America’s Interior has a spacious interior cruise with restaurants, bars and entertainment areas, as well as the outdoor bar restaurants and bars.
MSc World America is the second ship in the new MSc Cruises’ World class series ships. The first ship in the series, the MSC World Europa, started a career at the end of 2022 and designed specifically for sailing in Europe.

World-class ships are almost 20% larger than any MSC cruise ship that has come before and on the same scale as the Caribbean Royal Oasis Class Ship, which has dominated the largest list of the world’s largest ships.
As announced earlier, MSC World America will sail both Caribbean and western Caribbean cruise Get out of Miami.
The Eastern Caribbean cruise will include stopping in Puerto Plata, the Dominican Republic; San Juan, Puerto Rico; and Ocean Cay, private island of MSC Cruises in Bahamas. West Caribbean cruise will include stopping at Costa Maya and Cozumel in Mexico; Roatan, Honduras; and Ocean Cay.
The fare for cruise starts at $ 674 per person, based on double occupants.
