Once upon a time, there was a great small group called Glacier Bay Tour and Cruise, which is Glacier Bay Cruise. Owned by a local Alaska company, it specializes in extremely casual, off-grid cruises in Southeast Alaska, spending most of its time canoeing and hiking in wilderness areas, occasionally visiting the ports – and then usually visiting such a small, so small port, just like landing on the moon. The line took a belly-breaking trip in 2006, leaving a gap in the Alaska cruise market, which was only partially filled by the expensive Lindbrad Expedition and several small niche operators.
But now, the gap seems ready to be filled. In Seattle, people with high-end American safari cruises start new small groups at fairly reasonable prices at press time, offering adventure cruises and hiring excellent Glacier Bay cruisers ships Wild Adventurer and Wild Discoverer. The route’s cruise will focus on wilderness hiking, snorkeling, inflatable boat and kayaking tours, beach grooming and whales, as well as optional activities such as caves, glacier walking, river rafting, stand-up paddleboarding, fishing, fishing, fishing, and overnight backpacking and rowing. Essentially, the Glacier Bay experience is being recreated under a new name and is more comfortable on board, and we hope to achieve greater success. The brand is expected to debut in May 2011.
Since Innersea’s findings have not yet debuted at press time, we’ll only remind you what we know. As for its nearly identical ship, 156 feet, 72-guest Wild Adventurer and 169 feet, 88-Guest Wild Discoverer Originally built by the US Canadian Caribbean Line (now Blount Small Ship Adventures) and has all the exploratory features that are always built in their ships, which is primarily an incredible shallow draft that allows them to access shallow water. There is also a dry platform at the stern so that passengers can board the kayaking from the boat. Before the Innersea introduction, the two ships will undergo extensive renovations, tricking what Spartan interior decoration is during the ship periods of ACCL and ACCL and Glacier Bay. The cabins that were previously the most basic box will be modernized and feature simple but attractive decor, tempur-pedic memory foam mattress and iPod dock. Unfortunately, nothing can improve the existing cabin bathrooms, which are tiny “head-shaped” units where the toilet is essentially in the shower.
The main communal lounge will be redone and comes with a hotel/bar feel to encourage socializing at night. In addition to wine and wine, the bar will also have twelve mini beers. Hot tub, sauna, sports equipment and yoga classes will bring good features to the jazz jazz boarding menu. Each boat will carry a stable set of sea kayaking, fishing rods and tackles, binoculars and daycare for guests to use, and is equipped with underwater sounders so guests can hear whales. Naturalists will lead tours and give lectures on board, and other guests will sometimes board the plane to provide insiders’ opinions on Alaska life. Cruises will navigate the internal passages of Alaska, run between Juneau and Ketchikan, and visit natural areas such as Prince of Wales Island, Sea Otter Sound, Baranof and Kuiu Islands, Frederick Sound, Ampiralty Island (known for its bear populations) and Endicott Arm.
We have high hopes for this new brand Wild Adventurer In her time with Glacier Bay Cruiseline twice – it can be said that these trips ruined many of our other cruising experiences and really went to places other cruising routes that didn’t, wouldn’t, or couldn’t. During our trip to Alaska, we insisted on the wilderness so firmly that we saw more whales and bears than humans during the course of the week. Try to say about Megaship parade.
The per capita price is expected to be between $2,500 and $3,000 per week. Typical daily diems are $255-$340.
