Raleigh’s Figulina offers a special Abruzzo wine dinner at 6:30 pm Monday, May 19th. The dinner is inspired by the rugged beauty and the tradition of Abruzzo’s cooking, located between the mountains of Apennine and the Adriatic Beach. It is a known region for bold cooking, rural and expressive wine. Tonight will start with a mini-cocktail clock and light bite on the core followed by a sitting dinner showing Figulina taking traditional dishes such as:
Crostini Alla Chietina (fried toast with fish and caper)
Scrippelle in Brodo (crepes pecorino-stuffed in warm chicken soup)
Spaghetti on a guitar with pallottine (square pasta with small meatballs)
Brodetto (stewed coastal fish)
Pizza Dolce Abruzzese (Sponge Festive, Custard, and Layer Cake Jam)
Each course will be paired with wine from abruzzo. Price is $ 160 (before tax and reward). Earlier this year, Figulina was a semifinalis for the best new restaurant from James Beard Foundation. Book at https://figulinaraleigh.com/reservations
