When German leisure airline Condor began flying its new Airbus A330neos with colorful stripes painted, a pilot tried to convince the traveler (me) that passengers could vote on the color stripes on the plane a few days before each flight.
Condor began launching striped paint in April 2022, citing summer colors and decor (from beach towels and ice cream shops to parasols) as inspiration.
The carrier chose five different colors and names for the painted stripes: sunshine (yellow), passion (red), ocean (blue), island (green), and beach (beige). In September 2024, Condor added pink stripes to breast cancer awareness.
Despite the pilot’s joke, the stripe color you get is not assigned by the vote.
Passengers on long-haul flights may board a plane with blue, green or beige stripes, while passengers with short circuits and mid-rolls can board a plane with red, yellow or pink stripes.
Now, Condor has completed the repainting of the entire Airbus A320-200, Airbus A321-200, Airbus A300NEO and Boeing 757-300 aircraft. Moreover, to celebrate the third anniversary of the painting introduction, Condor held a “Matching Stripes” competition.
From now until the end of April 2025, condor passengers wearing striped shirts or dresses that match the exterior stripes on the plane will receive a €10 coupon (worth about $10.78).
You can cash in the voucher food or beverage items, such as beer beer in a striped can or a condorpolitan cocktail (with vodka, sweet lychee, lime zest and cranberry) in a striped tube and pack it from the package. Skyline Cafe. Otherwise, you can use it for Condor Bordshop merchandise, which sells a variety of condor aircraft models with striped paint and chooses socks decorated with blue or red aircraft. You must use the certificate on board during the flight.
Voucher winners will also receive codes for use with my postcard website or app so they can create photo postcards that match the look. We recommend not only posing with the plane, but also some striped facilities that can be seen or gathered within the plane (such as striped headrests, paper cups, air disease bags, cocktail napkins or sugar bags).

Of course, there are rules and regulations to match striped matches, you can read them On the website.
But most importantly, to get this month’s in-flight competition voucher, you’ll need to wear a shirt or dress with colorful stripes, vertical or horizontal with alternating white stripes. The colorful stripes on the clothes must roughly match the color of the vulture on the plane you board (e.g., sea/blue, passion/red, island/green, green, beach/bei, sun/yellow or bright pink) and can be easily recognised.
The crew on board will serve as judges and decide whether you match the colored stripes correctly. This is another reason to always be kind to the crew.
But how do you know what color stripes to wear?

And, once you know the color stripes on the plane, head to a closet or dresser drawer, the nearest online or physical clothing store, or even a sewing machine, and pick a stripe, voice-over shirt or dress to wear on the plane.
