The airline will open an iconic Delta One lounge in Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL) in the coming years.
“We are working in a lounge in Delta, Atlanta,” said Claude Roussel, vice president of Delta Sky Clubs and Lounge Experience in an exclusive interview with TPG.

Roussel doesn’t share much, but he did confirm that the new lounge will be open in Concourse E or F, with most of Delta’s long-haul flights departing.
“There are several areas under review right now. I won’t tell you now because it may change, but it will be a separate Delta lounge,” Russel said.
The Lounge’s head won’t provide more details on what the Atlanta Delta Lounge expects (after all, I’ve seen the airline’s media relations team give him a stern look in our conversation), but recently John Kennedy International Airport (JFK) in New York City,,,,, Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) and Boston Logan International Airport (BOS) The flyer should have a general understanding of what is about to happen.

But given the ATL’s status as the busiest airport in the world and Delta’s largest hub, it’s reasonable to assume that the airline will withdraw from all stops, making the space one of the best yet.
Of course, we need to wait for more details, but this is an exciting development of this newly opened network that opened in New York last summer.
Rossell confirmed that Delta has since opened outposts for Los Angeles International Airport and BOS, and plans to officially cancel in June at another new post at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (SEA). (A lounge in Seattle’s Delta will be open at the same time as another new Sky Club at the airport.)
Once Delta opens a commercial class-only lounge on the ATL and SEA, it will have only four (not yet) hubs left (not yet) with similar outposts: Detroit Metropolitan Wayne County Airport (DTW), Minneapolis Street. Paul International Airport (MSP), New York City LaGuardia Airport (LGA) and Salt Lake City International Airport (SLC).
Delta CEO Ed Bastian recently confirmed that the airline will build a delta lounge in the SLC, and Roussel confirmed the general belief that there is no reason to open a lounge in LGA as the airline is not running long-haul flights from there.
That said, Russels does suggest that Delta may come to DTW and MSP in the future.
He told TPG about opening more outposts that are just commercial classes. ”
While the conversation focuses on the Delta One lounge, Roussel also shared that several of ATL’s existing Sky Clubs will receive refreshes in the coming months. This includes “beautifying” the Sky Club of two airlines in Concourse A, establishing new stairs leading to Concourse T, and adding more seating and relocating reception areas in Concourse C.
Elsewhere, Delta is working on other Sky Club expansions and enhancements, including a massive renovation project at Denver International Airport (DEN), which will bring the club to over 20,000 square feet. The first phase of the DEN expansion is expected to open in the first half of 2026.
Other upcoming refreshes Includes expansion at Philadelphia International Airport (PHL), as well as lobby B in SLC.
