Authorities in Philadelphia Buck County have confirmed that overnight, a family of three Amtrak train attacks and kills groups As they walked along the track in the Bristol Municipal District on Thursday night.
Officials in the region reportedly received a call at 5:58 p.m. ET reminding them that the three were on track prompting officials to respond quickly to the investigation. When an official approached the three to talk to them at 6:10 p.m., an Amtrak Acela Express train from Boston to Richmond, Virginia attacked the group and killed them immediately.

The tragedy that might have been avoided may have avoided officials and residents in the close-knit community of the Borough of Bristol after suffering a horrible tragedy Thursday night.
Reports show that when the officer approached his family and spoke to them at the train station in the Bristol quarantine area, the official witnessed the three people who could hear the arrival of the high-speed train but could not leave the track in time before hitting them.
“It’s definitely a tragedy,” Bristol Borough Police Chief Joe Morris announced at a press conference. He continued: “There are three victims involved in the tragedy.”

Officials said the tragic incident prompted officials to shut up and pause the arrival and departure times of trains for hours as investigators tried to piece together why the family of three walked along the track in the first place.

Police will lead the investigation in concert with the Bristol city government to determine why these people are driving on track first.
“Amtrak is working with the Bristol Borough Police Department to investigate the incident,” a spokesperson said.
Authorities did not provide the victim’s name or gender, but did confirm that they were both adults and the same family.
Commuters on Friday morning will hear Amtrak officials announce that northbound and southbound tracks of the train station area were reopened before 11 p.m. EST after clearing the scene of the accident and collecting evidence.
For 236 passengers on the high-speed Acela train, who attacked the group Thursday night, officials said they were transported by shuttles to nearby stations by shuttle, so they could continue to go to their destination. No injuries were reported involving passengers on the train.
