Each year, Redfin launches the list of 10 hottest neighborhoods. To find out which ones are on fire right now, the company identifies the zip code from the 150 most populous metro areas and then analyzes their year -on -year growth in listing views on redfin.com. It also considers each Redfin Compete Score Zip code, “a measure of how difficult it is to win a home in a particular area based on factors including the day in the market, home parts sold above their listing prices, and the sales price ratio to the list,” the website said.
This year the hottest zip code Is 11238, shared by the Prospect Heights and Clinton Hill neighborhoods in Brooklyn, New York City.
The zip code was won for “a mix of new apartment buildings and classic old chocolate stones,” as well as its easy subway access to New York City. Together, the neighborhood undergoes a 105 percent change in year-on-year home sales, with a median sales price of $ 1,397,000, reflecting a 3.9 percent year growth year.
“Every time I have a listing at Prospect Heights or Clinton Hill, I expect at least one call from serious buyers overseas,” New York Prime Minister Ian Rubinstein said in the company’s report, saying that many buyers pay for cash for the area. “Given the price and wealth needed to buy to this neighborhood, customers are less concerned about high mortgage rates.”
Following the close behind Prospect Heights is Michigan, which has 139 percent more views of the year.
“It’s just 15 minutes to the Grand Rapids City Center, where you can catch a game or show, but it feels almost rural -there are plenty of green space to move and grow,” said Local Redfin Premier Agent Christine Kooiker. “Taxes are low, land is affordable, and Georgetown municipality is very open for new development. Every time I drive, I see a new half -finished subdivision.”
And rounding the top three are Mampton Hills and St. Charles, Illinois, has an impressive 133 percent growth.
“It feels like almost every home that hits the market at the Muckon Hills and St. Charles has many deals,” said local Redfin Premier Agent Cynthia Stolfe. “Illinois is very flat, but there are some good hills here, I tell people like staying in a holiday city. In the summer, you can go boating, or water skiing or kayaking, and there are parks and routes along the river.”
