A British man was ridiculed on social media, lashing out after Benidorm was accused of “ripping” expenses for hp sauce.
The holidaymaker has been visiting the idyllic seaside town with his family before stopping for a quiet breakfast at 4 Kings Bar in Avenida Mediterraneo.
But when the bill arrived, the worst happened.
Sunseeker was shocked to find that she was charged with two small sachets of HP sauce, which charged 50 cents per share.
Dissatisfied vacationer shared a photo of her bill Facebook Page.
“Be careful to have breakfast in this place, two HP pouches for 1 euro, tear them apart,” she wrote.
The UK order includes two “giant” breakfasts, a can of orange juice, coffee and two brown sauces, and the price is only €15.90.
Other British people jumped up to defend the bar, insisting that all other items were valuable.

One commented: “It’s an absolute bargain, 2 giant breakfasts, a can of orange juice and a cup of coffee, plus the sauce, all of which are 15.90 euros.”
Another said: “I think if anything, this bar will attract more customers now.”
One joked, “I won’t sleep tonight.
Regularly add, “I’m always in the food and service of 4 Kings, if you want branded sauces, 50 cents is not a problem.”

This is not the first time tourists are frustrated by the high price of foreign meals.
In 2023 Mykonos’ DK Oyster Facing a series of complaints from irritated tourists who say they are being charged for food and drink.
While Oyster Bar boasts about “the ultimate luxury,” several people will be shocked when presenting the bill.
From a honeymooner saying they were charged £25 per oyster to a couple paying nearly £700 for drinks, appetizers and salads – some customers say they feel wool.
An angry couple slapped the alarm after slapping “quick snacks” and some drinks with high bills.
Last May, Alex and Lindsay Breen from Toronto, Canada were supposed to spend their lives during their honeymoon in Mykonos, Greece.
However, the couple, 31 years old, soon had a nightmare when DK oysters charged them nearly £350 (400 euros) of beer, cocktails and twelve oysters.
Blins claimed that restaurant staff failed to provide them with a price menu and then shocked them with astronomical quantities.
They also accuse the restaurant of bringing them to the back room to pay instead of giving bills to the table.
When they split the employees, they were shown a computer screen, all in Greek.
Spain was named the top hot spot in travel scams last month, with more than one million holidaymakers reportedly falling victim to fraud.
A study used ONS and survey data to evaluate figures from several countries and found the top 10 tourist destinations for travelers to foul the scam.
The list of popular holiday attractions targeted by the scammers are France, the United States and Greece.
But Spain was revealed because of the most likely destination tourists to get caught up in a fraudulent – European countries have experienced an astonishing 1,054,729 travelers over the past five years.
