Some animals are just difficult to capture and up to date, the colosal squid is one of them. During the visit through the southern part of the Atlantic Ocean, the large squid was found, and for the first time caught in the film.
The colosal squid has become a MIA, cannot be detected in the natural environment of professionals, since the first time it was detected.

Fortunately for researchers, who can no longer be said because these new squids are seen to swim through the ocean. It is just a juvenile, arrested at about 600 m under water, and measures 11.8 inches long. The team of researchers from the University of Essex found a large squid near the South Sandwich Islands during the mission (lasting 35 days) to discover the new sea life they could face.

“The first vision of two different squids in the rear expedition is incredible and shows how little we see the beautiful population in the southern ocean,”

Researchers can only hope that this is the first of many meetings in the wild with these great squids in an effort to learn more about these incredible creatures.
