April First Friday | Raleigh, NC 27601


Artspace opens the door on the first Friday of each month across the city center of Raleigh to showcase the best city creative community. Sensory friendly time with smaller people and no music is reinforced, 5-7 pm. The first Friday is always free and open to everyone! The first Friday series was allowed by Sharefile.

April the first Friday will feature: Mother with work by Andrea Keys Connell at Gallery 1. Under UP: Contemporary ceramics at the South Juried Cup in the previous gallery. Shape, shape, serving by Kevin Kao in Gallery 2. The discovery of the world through the human eye by the Ward Road in the People’s Studio. Meet and shop with our 30+ studio artist. All Ages Art Activities at the Learning Studio, 6-9 pm. Direct music by Rebecca Kleinmann and Ingrid Nora Knight, 7: 00-8: 30pm
Custom Short Poems by Fox Poetry, 6-10pm. Connect with the organizers behind the Griot & Gray Owl Black Southern Conference and learn about the upcoming event

The event is celebrated on the first Friday of each month at the Raleigh City Center and shows the best of our city’s creative community. One of the founding organizations on the first Friday, Artspace, opened the door from 5 to 10 nights on the first Friday of each month. The first Friday is always free and open to the whole community!
