American Airlines is adding new free flight appliances by 2026



  • American Airlines adds free Wi-Fi to 90 percent of its fleet.

Getting ready to connect in the sky next year if you fly with American Airlines.

The United States recently announced it would offer free Wi-Fi to members of the Aadvantage’s Loyalty Program beginning in January 2026, sponsored by AT&T. About 90 percent of its fleet will be in line with the on-flight connection offered, with nearly 500 regional aircraft set to be equipped with Wi-Fi on ship at the end of 2025.

This offer is available on aircraft equipped with Viasat and Intelsat. American Airlines now offers free Wi-Fi on a limited amount of flights to test services before launching it fully in the early 2026.

Other domestic airline offers Wi-Fi in-flight free Deltaavailable on most flights for members of Delta Skymiles, Hawaiian Airlines, and JetBlue.
