Alstom has received a seven -year contract with the New York Port Authority and New Jersey to continue operating and maintain John F. Kennedy International Artrain.
The deal, which is worth about $ 518 million, includes an option to extend for an additional three years to 2035.
The contract guarantees that Artrain, which works as a vital link between airport stations, parking lots and public transport in New York City, is still working around the clock.
“The Port Authority is looking to continue working with Alstom on JFK Artrain, a critical part of the JFK infrastructure, and those that also enhance sustainability, create local job opportunities, and community development,” said the Tersa Rizoto General Manager of JFK International Airport.
Alstom will manage the infrastructure and the fleet in the Artrain, which includes 32 lights of light metro.
These trains range from one to four cars, depending on the request of passengers, and provides contact over nine Airside stations.

Last year, he used approximately 25 million JFK Aartrain, with the average daily number of passengers.
The system had a rate of 98.56 % in 2024.
It supports more than 230 jobs, including 59 customer service roles.
