In this interview, the Polly Nash correspondent spoke to the fire fighter Cami Schafer on one of the many scary effects on climate change; The threat of forest fires around the world. Last year California was violated by Dixie Fire, the largest forest fire in the country’s history. Four months burning, Dixie’s API destroys a thousand buildings and the whole city. Cami Schafer, who is fighting the fire with his friends, gives his daily work, his struggle and most importantly, what makes him sane and motivated during the demanding operation.

“You try not to be emotionally attached but you can’t help them. They are people’s homes, people’s lives, it’s all they have, but then we have to be happy and keep on the next day.”
