The first Aerobridge installation at Newcastle Airport, a new luggage port, indicated the main station finishes to the final stage of construction before it officially became an international entry port to Australia in August.
The temporary CEO Andrew Wander said that watching Aerobridge, which has an area of 31 tons, which is 20 meters long and which is installed was an emotional moment for a project that has the support of the entire fisherman area and beyond.

Current works include:
- The new luggage infrastructure to support the code-Code-C plane, enhances the arrival and efficiency of passengers.
- Peripheral finishes including polished concrete floors on the ground floor, carpet on the upper floor, bathrooms and amenities.
- Get the expatriate cafe and ads about the width of food and drinks soon.
- The new machine gun fire system to the current and current party building.
- New specific landscapes.
- Linemarking and the landscape of Williamtown Drive to improve access and make way for new areas of the side areas/capture and access to the outstanding car park.

Warnder said the station was changing day by day and developing into the final structure that will witness that the hunter region entered a new era of global communication.
