In 1990, more than a century of the most famous chocolate in the United Kingdom, Cadbury “I entered the unknown” and opened its first attractiveness ever – Cadbury world.
While the Burnville website is preparing to celebrate the thirty -fifth anniversary of its founding, Maillineline Travel is making a trip to the memory corridor to look at some of the unforgettable moments of attraction.
It is better to do so more than Gerard Baldwin, the director general of Cadbury World, who has worked in gravity since he opened its doors.

After working in Cadbury nearly 49 years ago, Gerard took Maillineine before heading to the well -obtained retirement.
“I joined Cadbury at the age of 16 from school and moved to the administrative training system very early in my career,” he says.
His move to the world of Cadbury at first was just a loan to help open the attraction but jokingly: ’35 years are still here. Obviously, the metaphor extended a lot!
Thinking about that opening day in 1990, Gerard says: “It was a lot of hard work because Cadbury was a chocolate factory, not an entertainment operator. We really went up to the unknown.

Within the first 10 days of the opening, he visited more than 20,000 guests. Since then, more than 18 million guests have crossed.
Gerard was also there to oversee the opening of Cadabra, the first attractive trip in 1997, which he described as “the first step of the park.”
CADABRA is now replaced by Cadbury’s Chocolate Que, an interactive adventure trip where guests work to collect ingredients to make their dairy milk bar.
One of the most prominent events in GERRRRD with incredible Master Bustical chocolate that was accused of designing wonderful chocolate creations in Cadbury World, including 80 kg dinosaur.
He says: ‘Some of the prominent people who come to mind are the Apollo 11 mission and a true copy of the Shakespeare Globe Theater, which had amazing details behind. The team is also very talented.
Of course, Cadbury World has attracted a lot of celebrities over the years with GWenyth Paltrow and ADELE among the guests who are in the stars who have gone through their doors.
We have opened John Megor attractive in 1991. This was our first famous person. Gerard says that Princess Ann was the first royal visit she dealt with at all and was absolute joy.

“Peter André came with his children,” Gerard reveals. “I think it was 10 minutes here and one of them monitored in the lobby and social media stormed life.

Working in Cadbury World for 35 years means that Gerard, who has “very sweet teeth”, try all the company’s products.

He says: ‘Someone sticks to my mind is Spira, who had a hollow center and people were using it to absorb hot chocolate.

I was always surprised that we have never returned it. It was a great product, but the tastes change and you should go forward.

But perhaps it will not go long until they see it again.
He says: ‘I got a lifelong voucher last night, so I think I will be back.
“The grandchildren grow, but there is always a request to come to the world of Cadbury.”
