Hello everyone,
We conclude our mini chain on the development of 2024 for the Trade Passenger Fleet with the turbines. Use Planespotters.net Data, we look at TurboproProps sitting 30 or more passengers.
Moderate fleet growth
The passenger fleet in the service increased from 1850 to 1873 units, an increase of 1.2 %. The table below shows the development of 2024 for SMLL (50 seats and under) and large passenger coals (more than 50 seats):
slice | 2023-12-31 | Delivery | Pension | 2024-12-31 | difference |
small | 696 | 3 | 24 | 675 | (21) |
big | 1,154 | 24 | (20) | 1,198 | 44 |
the total | 1850 | 27 | 4 | 1,873 | 23 |
In line with the trends of climbing to a single lane planes, the passenger turbocharged fleet during the service decreased in 2024. The three delivery is not anywhere to compensate for the 24-pension led by Saab-340 (9), DHC-8-100 (6), ATR42-600 (3).
In addition to 24 delivery processes, 20 TurboproProProProProProPs (11 ATR72600S and 9 DHC-8-400S) moved to new operators and supported the number during service. There was no clear retirement with the older variables ATR72-500 and ATR72-200.
At best, the next moderate growth
With feeding trends, the small turbine fleet will continue in the coming years. What is happening to the large turboproprops depends on the frequency of old aircraft retirement and whether some operators decide to upgrade to regional aircraft or excellent small aircraft.
In any case, the sector will grow at best, moderately forward. The new delivery operations for the only original equipment manufacturers, ATR, are not anywhere near to compensate for the aging of the world fleet.
