Gym memberships and diet shows are good and all, but why not make some resolutions leading to new adventures and discoveries?
We think that road trip is one of the best ways to do all those things (and yes, we know we are biased :).
Whether you use us Autopilot ™ travel planning tools or unite them with Roadtrippers app The resolution below will help you build some epic trips next year.

By 2025, let’s try something new -even though it is small and close to home. Here are 10 New Year’s Resolution Ideas to start you (plus 11 more bonus ideas).
1. Try a new mode of transportation
Are you a lovely motorcycle rider? The dead rver? Minivan fans? Why not this year’s branch and try the road in a new type of vehicle? The peer-to-peer rental platform is usually the best way to test something new without buying. Try Teach or Gettaround for a car, Rvshare or Outside the house for RV, or Twisted road or Riders share for a motorcycle.
2. Try the camping
With the campsite starting for next year, you will probably not get a lot of solitude on the traditional campsite. To be true -to run away from reality, if only for the weekend, consider trying a spreading camp, or camping on public land without service. Remember to pack what you wear and Leave no trace.
3. Visit a new National Park
The National Park is our largest national treasure, so for next year, why not make it the goal of visiting some new ones on the list? No matter where you find yourself in the United States, there must be one in driving distance.
All you need to know to plan a national park road trip

4. Visit the State Park instead of the National Park
The National Park is popular for the reason -they protect some of the most amazing natural resources in the country. But many state parks, especially located near their colleaguesIt can be great with a lot of local history, outdoor recreation, and well -treated camps.
5. Visit a new state
Visiting all 50 US states are real A bucket list itemBut for the sake of safety, let’s start a little. Is there another easy driving situation that you are, for some reason, not yet? Check it from your list this year, and overcome the rest when it’s safe to do so. Just be careful about any local travel restrictions.
6. Try new activities
If you always want to get into a climb, paddling, or mountain biking, now is the right time. Looking for more adrenaline? Find out if there are skydiving, bungee jump, or paragliding nearby.
7. Taking a solo road trip
Sometimes -sometimes there is no better way to find peace of mind and mental clarity than to go A solo road trip. If you are alone with anything but your thoughts and open roads sound scary, you can always fill the silence with podcasts, audiobooks, and music. But if you want a challenge, try to sit down with your own thoughts without interruption. You might know something new about yourself.
8. Explore close to home
You don’t have to go far to find adventure. One of my favorite roadtrippers adages is that you have never been more than five minutes from something extraordinary. Pull map and start looking for something new to check on your own backyard -try to find external art installation, climbing path, historic marker, and National Park Service Site.

9. See the classic sidewalk pull
No road trips are completed without stopping at the kitschy roads. Even if you don’t go far, there is a possibility of a forgotten American piece around the visit. Find things like “The largest in the world“Item, Muffler man and other glass fibers, Novelty architectureor good ol’-fashioned Dinosaur park.
This ‘largest’ side -by -side attraction proves that sometimes, the bigger is true -but better
10. Go out of the way
One of my favorite things to do this year is to release the sidewalk. Whether you are in a four -wheel drive truck, cheated enjoyable vehiclesOr on a sports motorcycle, there are so many amazing places to see as soon as you get off the highway and head to a more rugged area. Get a trace map and start exploring.
