For difficult reasons, MOZART KUGEL – the famous Mozart Ball chocolate in Austria – is filled with Marzipan. Theory: Mozart made several trips to Italy when there was a young man, and while he was, he became fond of pistachios that were usually used in Italian sweets.
but.
Pistachio has been in trade since the biblical ages. It was a high value crop. So it is also possible that pistachios are a more random option that depends on the identity of the walnut as a luxurious element – we will use pistachios because it is imagined! Mozart is fancy! Therefore, Mozart equals pistachios!
maybe. Maybe not.
Not only is chocolate, but also about cakes. There are two front contestants in the Mozart-Ting Cakes, Mozarttorte and Mozartbombe race. Both include that recognized green pistachios.

Mozarttorte in Café Aida does not go out with Marzipan, and is used as a layer between two rich chocolate backets, and completely wrapped in the ice that resembles Mocha Ganache.
Aida is a series but it is old: it has been in business since 1913. They have 30 locations in Vienna, easily monitored by the signs of pink neon. It is tempting to reject them because of their spread, but this does an injustice to bake them. Aida’s coffee is not the best in Austria, but as its lactation is quality or privilege or not.
In Schwarzenberg Café, the specialty is Mozartbombe. Mozartbombe is located on the base of the chocolate, similar to those in the Sachertorte, and I got a chocolate cake between layers of whipped cream. The cake is in the form of a dome and covered by the bright green Marzipan. It is great until you get a separation, then a delicious chaos.

The Schwarzenberg Café was opened in 1861 and there is only one. The room contains noble ceilings, dark wooden furniture and the state of pastries directly next to the front door that is not only characterized by mosarpom, but a variety of other luxurious cakes as well. The cafe is popular with tourists, but this does not seem to keep the locals away. As a result, there is a real international atmosphere, what with all the different languages that float around it.
Mozart itself you can find three buildings – the Vienna Opera House on the road – and although it is possible to hear his work, he is still silent on the question of pistachios.
