It took a few minutes for the hot water tap to get hot once turned on. The balcony door does not completely seal when closed, thereby letting in cold air from outside. Minor inconvenience but the resort can use some updating.

My husband and I went for an overnight to celebrate our anniversary’. We loved High Peaks! Beautiful rooms! Loved the shower! The lobby was spectacular. Loved all the art! We enjoyed sitting on our balcony with a glass of wine and enjoying the view of the lake and mountains. We ended our stay with a delicious breakfast. Staff at the front desk in the lobby were great.

Great desk staff provided all the information needed for our stay. Rated ambiance as lacking in that on a cold rainy day fireplaces and bar while inviting with cozy furniture and lighting were not in operation. Also late night talking heard through the walls kept us up.

The restaurant music could be updated from 70’s. I suggest the Pandora coffeehouse station. It includes 70’s and a wide variety of artists.

It was disgusting to have dogs around everywhere. The Dancing Bears restaurant and bar was quite pleasant, but my main course, mushroom gnocchi, was insipid and skimpy, with hardly any mushrooms.

Great location convenient to all the shops and restaurants of Lake Placid. Rooms were very spacious with added perk of a balcony. Ask for a higher floor if you stay in the main inn so you can have a view of the lake.

Lovely stay. Great value. We received a $20 highly credit at the Dancing Bear bar. We watched the Mets clinch against the Phillies, met some nice people and were served great drinks by Tony the bartender. Fun experience!

Our visit was centered around experiencing the fall foliage and we were not disappointed! The hotel and staff made us feel right at home. Some portions of the hotel are showing signs of wear and tear but nothing major. The room, bathroom etc comfortable and clean.

High Peaks and Lake Placid are amazing! Loved the offering thru Travelzoo!! Complications w the deal tho. The package said $20 per day off restaurant. I had to get that by request showing the paperwork. Otherwise i never wold have gotten it. Additionally, I interpreted your offer as resort fees were included in the package quote. I was charged resort fees and there was no acknowledgement of what your paperwork stated. I paid about $50 in fees and then taxes on it. That was disappointing but it was still a great trip.

Loved High Peaks Resort. Location was perfect – ability to walk to all shops and restaurants in Lake Placid Village and around Mirror lake. Staff was exceptionally helpful at every turn. Room and balcony were very comfortable. loved sitting on balcony overlooking the lakes and the mountains. Parking was also very convenient. Really enjoyed our stay.

Great Location so that you could walk anywhere within the small village. Very courteous and professional staff. meals well prepared too.

Three pools and a hot tub also provide plenty of options for young families to enjoy some off hour time. Access to kayaks and paddle boards and swimming on the private beach is another bonus. Everything is clean and beautifully maintained.

No in room safe, no microwave. $10 charge to reheat food. Indoor pool at Lakeside was not ventilated and chipped paint all over, looked dirty. Espresso maker in room (prefer regular coffeemaker), cups did not fit machine. No elevator to rooms in Waterfront property, no ramp, no bellman to assist with bags

Wonderful trip. Rooms are lacking dressers for unpacking, would like more lights in the room. Bathroom a little tired looking. Exterior of buildings in need of attention (paint peeling). Definitely would recommend. Can’t beat the location.

The staff was very responsive, even though many didn’t have the answers we needed. Our shower left the bathroom floor very wet. The coffee maker never worked and it was a long walk from our room to the lobby coffee. The breakfast in the Dancing Bears restaurant was among the best I’ve had.

High Peaks Resort is a luxury hotel with beautiful furnishings in the room, and a huge multi-roomed Lobby where you can sit and enjoy cozy conversations by the two huge fireplaces. The View from the resort was spectacular , which could be seen from our private balcony. The bed was extremely comfortable, had a wonderful night’s sleep. The pillow was great too. We had two wonderful meals at the two restaurants inside the High Peaks Resort. 200.00

1st time to Placid. We very much enjoyed our stay. The room is decorated uniquely and beautifully. The beds were comfortable and the shower with rain head + adjustable wall wand was appreciated. The courtyard/pool areas are relaxing.

The food at the Dancing Bears restaurant was delicious.
Location at the end of the main strip on Mirror Lake is perfect.
If there are more deals offered, will definitely be back.
